# This is an old schoolpicture dating back to the year 1922 , to the 25th of March to be very precise , as we , rather conveniently , can still very clearly see on the little board hold up by one of the schoolboys .
And also the name of the school had been clearly written out in elegant letters on the board : 'St. Antonius van Padua School' , a roman-katholic school júst for boys , as is so very obvious te see here ...
The school was located at the 'Z(uid) O(ost) Binnensingel 66' , later renamed in 'Uilebomen' , in the city of The Hague in the Netherlands .
I can only identify one of these boys : my late uncle BERTUS TEN WOLDE , then a boy of 12 years of age ; Bertus is the rather sad looking boy with dark eyes , as if he had been crying just a short moment before - he is sitting on his knees on the second row , being the third boy from the right .

In front of him is a boy in a , in those days rather popular , young boys' sailor suit , who must have been part of a identical twin (look at the boy sitting right next to him) .
Evidence that this picture definitely was taken in Holland is given by the boy sitting on the far left who is wearing .... yes indeed , a pair of klompen = wooden shoes - just a big bunch of tulips and a windmill are missing on this so very Dutch picture from days long gone by .....
